Dreadknight Factions

History & Origins

Driven by an unquenchable thirst to destroy Maw horrors, the Dreadknights sought a desperate path: to embrace the Void itself. The hope was to wield its corrupting power as a weapon against the Forsaken. They underwent rituals of unimaginable pain, willingly sinking into the darkness to gain strength capable of tearing apart the very essence of the Void and its creations. But the Void is insidious, a force that does not yield to will alone. As the Dreadknights gained power, the Void took its own toll on their minds and souls.

They became bound to the very darkness they sought to destroy, haunted by shadows they could neither escape nor fully control. The Dreadknights found themselves altered, able to wield unimaginable powers but forever marked by corruption. Their allegiance wavers like a flickering flame, and at times, their anger turns upon the Valkyries. To them, the Valkyries’ light seems soft, and their mercy a weakness—a flaw that risks allowing the Void to creep back into the realms.

Now, the Dreadknights exist on the edge, warriors driven by a twisted, noble cause who have become both protectors and threats. They walk a path of shadow, caught between the desire to destroy the darkness and the allure of the power it gives them, watching the Valkyries from a distance with mistrust and resentment. Some say they still dream of a world free of the Void, while others believe they have become part of it, lost to the darkness they once sought to conquer.
